- Charts: Season 8 averaged 11.99 million viewers on opening night, hitting a series record 13.61 million for the finale. It became HBO’s most-watched episode of all time. Total average viewing hit a staggering 46 million per episode.
- Awards: For the fourth time the show won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series. Peter Dinklage earned his fourth Emmy for Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Tyrion Lannister.
