- Awards: For the second straight year, Game of Thrones won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series, Directing for a Drama Series, and Writing for a Drama Series. Five different cast members picked up individual nominations – Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Kit Harrington (Jon Snow), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark). Season 6 also won the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Drama Series and picked up another nomination at the Golden Globe Awards.
